Practice Anchor

Why kindness.
And why this sits above the offers.

RootWild is built around a small, slow practice — a few hours outside, a daily act of noticing, a longer weekend away when the work needs more room. This page is the stance underneath all of it. Read it before you book.

Who this is for

Practitioners open to slow, in-person re-attunement — people who have tried the screen-detox apps, the meditation courses, the therapy bench, and are looking for a body-anchored next step. Small groups, calendar-friendly, in nature rather than on a screen.

People in transition: post-burnout, post-divorce, post-promotion, post-loss — the in-between weeks where the old routines no longer fit and a new rhythm is still forming. People who can hold a walk, hold a silence, and do one small kind thing before lunch on a Tuesday.

What this is not

Not a productivity fix. Not a weekend-as-escape. Not an online, self-paced course. Not a spectacle, a retreat-as-networking-event, or a fitness challenge dressed in wellness language. The work is quiet, embodied, and unhurried — none of those are things you can buy back in a single transaction.

If you want a fast reset, a motivational weekend, a coach who will hold you accountable to a 90-day plan, or content you can consume passively — this is not the right fit. I would rather you find the right thing elsewhere than feel you wasted a half-day with me.

Why this anchor sits above the offers

The offers on this site are translations of one practice. A half-day or a day-trip on the experiences page is the calendar-friendly cut — a few hours outside, a small act of kindness to carry home. The long-weekend on the retreats page is the deeper cut — three days for the kind of work a single day can't quite hold.

The 30-day practice is what you carry back into the rest of the week — a small daily invitation, emailed each morning, to be kind to yourself, to the people around you, and to the living world.

This page is none of those. It is the stance they all share — the place to read first when you want to know whether RootWild is for you at all. The offers are downstream of this answer.

“Kindness is not a tactic. It is the slowest, most durable thing a person can practice — and the one most likely to still be working a year from now.”

If this resonates

Start with the lightest touch that fits your week. A half-day is a good first conversation with the practice; a daily prompt is a good place to keep going.
